How Single-Stat
Season-Long Leagues Work
Single-Stat Leagues are built around a simple structure: one stat, one season, one winner.
Each league is fully customizable by the commissioner and runs across an entire season of play.
Commissioner Creates the League
The commissioner sets up the league and defines:
- The sport (NFL, MLB, NBA, etc.)
- The single stat that will determine scoring
- League rules and structure
- Entry settings (private or open)
The selected stat becomes the foundation of the entire competition.
Players Join the League
Participants join the league and prepare to compete based on the defined rules.
Depending on the league setup, players may:
- Select teams
- Select players
- Or make stat-based predictions
All participation is tied directly to the league’s chosen stat.
Season-Long Tracking
Once the league begins, performance is tracked over the course of the season.
Unlike weekly pick’em formats:
- There are no resets each week
- Performance accumulates continuously
- Every game contributes to final results
This creates a long-term strategy layer that rewards consistency.
Scoring Based on One Stat
Every league revolves around a single measurable statistic.
Examples include:
- Total passing yards
- Total strikeouts
- Total points scored
- Team-level performance stats
The commissioner-defined stat is tracked throughout the season.
Determining the Winner
At the end of the season, the winner is determined based on:
- Highest accumulated stat total, or
- League-specific scoring rules defined by the commissioner
The structure is simple,
but the strategy can be deep.
Why This Model Works
It removes unnecessary complexity while preserving strategic depth.

No two leagues need to be the same.
